A YEAR ago Hampshire mum of three and successful business woman Vicki Dunn-Mussert struck on an idea that combined both her loves. Having taken time out to start a family Vicki was keen to get back into the world of work, but not at the expense of her young family.
So she came up with Bounce-A-Lean, an indoor play experience combining bouncy castles and soft play.
A year on and the business has gone from strength to strength and celebrated with a first year birthday party at its Lymington base.
Vicki said: “I wanted to get back into work but involving my children, so this was the perfect idea. I also wanted to build up a network of mums as having only recently moved back to Lymington I didn’t know that many people.
“Lymington is great in the summer but on wet or winter days I didn’t think there was much for young families to do.
“The birthday party was a way of saying thanks for all the support and a celebration for weathering our first year of trading.”
Not only have the play days at the Masonic Hall become a mecca for mums and dads, Vicki has also branched out into hiring out the bouncy castles for private functions.
“I cannot believe how lucky I have been this year, and how with the amazing support of local Mummies and families in Lymington I have met and exceeded all my goals for my 1st year of trading,” added Vicki.
• The Bounce-A lean play days run from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Mondays at the Masonic hall on High Street, Lymington. For £3.50 children can come and go throughout the day. For more information about the play day or to hire equipment contact Vicki on 01590 610776
