SOUTHAMPTON mums are more messy than dads when it comes to stains, according to a new poll.

Of those surveyed in the city 15 per cent said that they were the main stain culprits, as opposed to nine per cent of dads.

Unsurprisingly, children were the highestscoring stainers, with 70 per cent of the vote.

The Stain Survey carried out by Ariel Excel also found that food and drink stains such as chocolate ice cream are a Southampton parents’ worst nightmare.
