POLICE are appealing for information after a teenage girl was injured in a hit-andrun accident.
The victim was walking through Minstead in the New Forest when she was hit by an oncoming car that went out of control on the icy road.
Police say the driver failed to stop after the accident, which left the girl with deep bruising to her leg.
The incident occurred at a ford between Emery Down and the Trusty Servant pub last Monday, but details have only just been released.
Police say the car was a gold-coloured Audi estate driven by a man of Asian appearance.
