YOU could say she kicked up a right stink for charity.
Legendary fundraiser Liz Bennett lay in a bath tub full of mud at Asda in Totton for about five hours to raise cash for the Tommy New Born Baby charity.
Liz has been organising fundraisers at the supermarket for many years and has recently handed over the reins to Louise Moore and Julie Motherwell.
Julie said: “Liz came up with the idea because she thought it would make a real impact. It certainly proved a hit with shoppers.
“There were some creepy crawlies in the bath tub and she did get a couple of bites.”
The day of fundraising, which featured face painting and a tombola, was also in support of the earthquake-hit island of Haiti.
