A HANDFUL of bidders are hoping to bag a piece of Eastleigh at a bargain price.
The sealed bid auction for the Comrades Club in Leigh Road has closed and members will wait to see how much money they will get.
Goadsby set a guide price of £380,000 for the building, which opened as a working’s men club in 1922 but fell victim to competition from town centre pubs and bars in recent years.
With the debts of £160,000, members took it into liquidation and will use the sale to pay off creditors.
