A HAMPSHIRE GP will have to wait weeks until she finds out whether she has won her claims of unfair dismissal and sexual discrimination against her former employers.
Lucy Charlwood, 34, of Whitsbury Road, Fording-bridge was sacked from the Castle Street surgery in Salisbury in June 2008 after less than a year.
She claimed at a Southampton employment tribunal that she was dismissed just days after formally raising concerns about incorrect procedures being followed when prescribing drugs for anxiety, patient files not being updated and blood pressure results being “fiddled” to meet targets.
However senior partner Dr Ken Clark told the hearing that the decision to dismiss Dr Charlwood had been made several days earlier because she was unable to manage her time well.
She regularly booked double appointment slots of 20 minutes, meaning she was not seeing her required 23 patients a day and causing more work for the other doctors, it was alleged.
The tribunal was adjourned but the result will not be known for several weeks.
