Saints boss Alan Pardew says they were naive in their FA Cup defeat by Pompey.
Speaking after the 4-1 defeat at St Marys he said: "We gave a really good account of ourselves in terms of the first 60-70 minutes and we kept it really tight.
"Unfortunately when we conceded the second goal we chased it naively some what.
"We had some fantastic performances not least Ricky Lambert and Adam Lallana. They were absolutely fantastic for us."
