HAMPSHIRE members of the Foresters Friendly Society have helped raise £60,000 to help people suffering from Motor Neurone Disease.
As well as supporting local charities the Foresters, who have a base in Southampton, helped support the national appeal for The MND Association with a series of events including a last night of the proms musical evening in Wickham.
The MND Association helps to support those affected by the disease and those who care for them and funds vital research to help find a cure for this devastating disease which affects 5,000 people in the UK at any one time.
The money was raised from events by clubs across the UK from September 2008 to September 2009.
