A MAJOR Southampton route is to be temporarily closed next week so that a visit to the scene can be arranged by the city’s crown court.
Police will close sections of the eastbound carriageway between Millbrook flyover and the Regents Park Road junction next Monday from 2.30pm.
They say that each section will only be closed for a short time in order to minimise any traffic disruption.
The visit has been organised on the first day of the trial of 31- year-old Julia Moore of Rownhams Road, Southampton, which is due to begin on Monday.
She has pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving.
Greg Dear, 27, of Cliff Road, Freemantle, pictured, died after his bicycle was in collision with a Fiat Punto on Millbrook Road West on October 16, 2008.
