A PUB brawl left one man needing stitches in his head and two others arrested.
The punch-up happened outside the Shamblehurst Barn shortly after the Saints' FA Cup clash with Pompey.
A witness, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Daily Echo there had been a heated argument about football just before the fight.
A 41-year-old West End man was treated at Southampton General Hospital for an injury to the back of his head which needed three stitches.
Police arrested a 25-yearold Southampton man and a 23-year-old Portsmouth man in connection with the assault.
Both were bailed until May pending further enquiries.
Police are going through CCTV and looking for witnesses, particularly anyone drinking in the pub at around 3.30pm Saturday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Eastleigh CID on 101.
