THREE teenagers were last night being quizzed by detectives investigating the false imprisonment of a woman at a Southampton house.
A 17-year-old male and two girls aged 14 and 15 were arrested yesterday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and holding the woman against her will.
Teams of officers from across the city were involved in the arrests at a series of properties across the Bitterne area.
All three youths were being held in custody last night awaiting interview.
Last Friday the Daily Echo reported how a 38-year-old Southampton man had been arrested following a raid on a property in Derby Road where police believe the 23-year-old victim had been held.
The man was interviewed on suspicion of aiding and abetting the false imprisonment and actual bodily harm of the victim.
Following questioning the man was later released on bail.
Police said that the woman was left with a burn on her face and badly bruised eyes as a result of her ordeal.
The victim had also been left with very roughly cut hair, some of which had been hacked down to scalp level.
She managed to escape from the property at around 5.30pm on Tuesday February 9 and get to a nearby house to raise the alarm.
However she was unable to tell detectives where she had been held captive or for how long.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Operation Citadel team at Bitterne CID on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
