AN inquest has been opened after a man was crushed to death in an industrial accident at Hampshire’s Rose Bowl.
Philip Carsley, 34, from Thurnscoe, North Yorkshire, was working on the construction of a new spectator stand at the cricket ground in Botley Road when he was killed.
Police and the Health and Safety Executive are currently investigating the circumstances that led to Mr Carsley’s death, which happened at 2pm on February 8.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned by Hampshire coroner Grahame Short.
