ADAM Bobat is a Pontin’s winner!
The under-15 finalist took £4 off England junior captain Sam Craigie and friends at Texas Hold’em.
After six days of snooker competition, it was a clean sweep for Scotland. Ross Muir took the under-15 title and Anthony McGill triumphed in the under-21 final.
With time on our hands, we meandered into Prestatyn for lasagna and chips or cottage pie, vegetables and gravy at Gail’s.
Later, in the Queen Vic, members of the southern branch of Snooker Dads Anonymous had exploratory talks with our colleagues from north of Hadrian’s Wall.
Day 8 dawned with a blanket of snow covering the holiday camp in Prestatyn, North Wales.
During breakfast at Gail’s, Dave (Gail’s partner) presented Adam with a can of coke for reaching the final.
We drove home in snow, hail, rain and bright sunshine.
