RAIL services in Hampshire were severely disrupted after a train left the track in Southampton today.
The incident happened between Millbrook and Redbridge stations shortly before 3pm this afternoon.
A wagon on a freight train travelling from Eastleigh to Westbury became derailed. No-one was injured.
As a result, all services between Weymouth and Southampton as well as Southampton and Salisbury were suspended.
Services to and from London Waterloo started and terminated at Southampton Central.
Replacement bus services have been running from Southampton Central to Brockenhurst and Bournemouth.
National Rail is warning passengers to expect delays of at least 40 minutes.
The train was removed by 6.40pm, and rail firms expect service to slowly return to normal later this evening.
