A DRIVER miraculously escaped serious injury after his Mercedes flipped over in Southampton in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews were called at 3am amid reports a car had collided with metal fencing then turned over at the junction of Glen Eyre Road and Violet Road.
A team from St Mary’s Fire Station used cutting tools to remove the driver after he became trapped in the wreckage of the A150 hatchback vehicle.
The man, in his early 20s, was freed after an hour and was found to have sustained minor injuries.
A Fire spokesman said this morning that police were investigating the incident.
