DOZENS of residents are likely to attend a meeting this Sunday to stop 200 homes being built in Winchester.
The scheme at Pitt Manor off Romsey Road would also provide the city’s third park and ride.
Scores of neighbours have already raised concerns about losing the greenfield site on the city’s outskirts. Under the banner of Keep Pitt Green, they are now holding a meeting to discuss their tactics.
It will take place in the main hall of Kings’ School near the site from 2.30 to 4.30pm.
The developer argues that Winchester has a housing shortage and the park and ride will reduce jams in Romsey Road.
Residents have until Monday, March 8, to write to Winchester City Council with comments about the scheme.
The authority’s planning committee is likely to make a decision later this year.
