MORE people are jumping ship and resigning from their jobs over fears of redundancy and restructuring, a new study has revealed.

Research by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) from 200 organisations showed that resignations have risen from 4.5 per cent to 4.7 per cent of the workforce.

The study shows that firms were failing to persuade staff to stay, with requests for internal transfers dropping from 5.8 per cent to 3.6 per cent.
