DON’T miss out – that’s the message to primary schools across Hampshire and Southampton with applications now open for them to get their hands on a share of £6,000 for exciting building projects.
We have teamed up with major construction firm Leadbitter to offer three prizes for outdoor building schemes at infant, junior and primary schools in the Daily Echo circulation area.
The School Build Challenge gives schools the chance to suggest any project they want, from something that will boost its green credentials to promoting healthier lifestyles for children, or improving the playground.
All they have to do is fill out the application form printed in today's Daily Echo March 31, telling us what they want to do and why.
Judges will select ten finalists, and then Daily Echo readers will be given the chance to choose which three schools win the prizes of work by Leadbitter up to the value of £3,000, £2,000 and £1,000.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for schools to realise an ambition and improve facilities for their pupils,” said Daily Echo editor-in-chief Ian Murray.
