JURORS are expected to retire today to consider their verdict in the case of a man accused of murder at a Southampton hostel.
Judge Keith Cutler was concluding his summing up in the case of Scott Townson, 21, who has denied murdering Luke Woolf who was found with severe head injuries in a children’s playground in Northam.
Prosecutors allege that Townson beat up the 18-year-old and then dragged across the road before dumping him in the park.
Salisbury Crown Court has heard the teenager went into a coma and died several months later without leaving hospital.
Townson, of Radcliffe Road, Northam, claims he acted in self-defence after the teenager had attacked him in the house.
