ASDA has denied rumours that controversy surrounding plans for its Totton store has resulted in a revised scheme.
A spokesman said it had merely submitted extra drawings at the request of New Forest District Council.
Asda wants to build a large extension to the store and add an extra layer of parking but critics have attacked the design. They also claim extra traffic will increase pollution in a nearby air quality management zone.
