MOTORISTS were facing rush hour misery this morning after a pile up on a busy Hampshire motorway.

Emergency services were called at around 8am amid reports that a lorry, a car and a van had collided between junctions seven and five on the M27 west bound.

Two lanes were closed as 15 fire fighters worked to release a man who was trapped in the wreckage. Police say he did not suffer serious injury in the smash.

There were reports of major tailbacks as emergency services worked at the scene. A police spokesman said it was still not clear when the road would be fully reopened.
