A HOODIE waited 15 minutes before robbing a woman who was standing next to him at a bus stop.
The 22-year-old victim was waiting in a shelter outside a row of shops in Milford Road, Pennington, when a teenager appeared.
Police say he stood near her for a quarter of an hour, forcing her to the ground and stealing her wallet.
A police spokesman said: “When the woman looked out of the shelter to see if her friend was coming, the teenager grabbed her by the arm and forced her to the pavement.
“He then sat on the woman, took her wallet and walked away. The woman was uninjured.”
PC Ian Austin said: “The robbery happened on a busy main road and there must have been cars driving past or people walking in the area.
“We need to hear from anyone who saw what happened or noticed the teenager making off from the shelter.”
The incident took place last Tuesday at 5.50pm but details have only just been released.
The robber is described as white, 5ft 6in, aged about 16, slim, with long brown hair. He was wearing a light grey hooded top with the hood up, black trousers and white trainers.
Anyone with information should call Hampshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
