A HAMPSHIRE dad who shook his baby son so violently he suffered head injuries and multiple broken bones has been jailed.
Luke Lock, 22, of Albert Road South, Southampton, lost his temper and inflicted the injuries to his only child when he was just a few months old. He was jailed for two and a half years.
The youngster, who is now aged two and in care, suffered brain haemorrhages, fractured ribs and bruises all over his body.
The baby's mother Charmain Rippon, of Wavell Road, Bitterne, Southampton, was found guilty of neglect in failing to protect her son but walked free from court after receiving a 35-week jail term, suspended for two years.
Both are unlikely to ever be allowed to work with children again.
