A MAN accused of murdering a mother and her baby at their Hampshire home appeared in court today.
Anthony Marsh is accused of murdering partner Stephanie Bellinger, 24, and ten-month-old Lili at their home in Myrtle Avenue, Totton.
Their bodies were discovered at the family home on the morning of February 27.
Marsh, 21, spoke only to confirm his name when he appeared before Judge Keith Cutler at Winchester Crown Court this morning.
A date for Marsh's next court appearance has been set for May 21 while a number of case documents including psychiatric reports are compiled.
Judge Cutler said it was 'unlikely' that an indictment will be put to Marsh on that date and the hearing is likely to be a progress report.
A post-mortem examination found receptionist Stephanie died from multiple stab wounds while Lili died as a result of a stab wound.
The unemployed former pub worker, who was remanded in custody, was arrested in Fareham last Monday.
