SOUTHAMPTON’S first lady has thrown her support behind the Saints as they make their way to Wembley.

Like many Saints fans reigning Miss Southampton Natalie Salmon was unable to get a ticket for the final and will instead be watching on TV.

The politics student at the University of Southampton is a big Southampton follower and was delighted to have met the team last summer.

Despite not getting a ticket Natalie said she would be watching the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final against Carlisle at home with her Saints supporting dad who grew up watching the team at The Dell. Natalie, 19, said: “I’m really happy that the guys have made it to Wembley, they seem to have really made a difference this season and I think they’ll be going to Wembley with confidence.

“They are starting to really progress and put what happened at the end of last season behind them. We’ve got great fans and it’s great to have that passion back about the club.

“The fact we’ve sold all our tickets already proves we’re really big fans of our home team and I think the players realise that and it can only help when they play next Sunday.

“I was given a Saints shirt by the team last summer so I’ll be wearing that and cheering them on and of course I’m expecting a Saints win.”
