CHILDREN from a Winchester estate can enjoy free football training during the Easter holidays.
The City Council is running five-a-side sessions on April 12-13 at Kings’ School cluminating in a mini tournament on Wednesday, April 14.
Boys and girls aged from 7-10 and 11-14 are invited to take part in the sessions which have been organised with the help of Lower Stanmore and North Stanmore residents associations.
David Lumby, tenant participation officer, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn a few football skills and enjoy a few friendly matches.”
Application forms are available from Winchester City Council, Stanmore Primary School, and the Carroll Youth Centre. Places are limited to the first 20 and the deadline is Wednesday, March 31.
