STAFF at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association have sent out an urgent appeal for a volunteer to fill the vital role of treasurer at their Fareham branch.
The treasurer deals with banking and receipts, acknowledges donations and produces the end of year accounts.
Spokesman Amanda Pole said: "It costs £10 a day to breed, train and support each of the 5,000 guide dog partnerships in the UK so every volunteer is an essential part of the charity.
"They help us ensure that there is sufficient money to continue our work for blind and partially sighted people."
Anyone wanting more information should call Amanda on 07990 540236.
