POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was grabbed by man as he drove up alongside her as she walked along a Southampton street.
The 20-year-old victim was walking along Park Walk when a beige-coloured car drove up. The man inside tried to start a conversation and even reversed his car to keep up with the woman as she walked along.
He then grabbed her arm and tried to pull her into the car. She broke free and ran off. The man then drove off towards New Road.
The victim was badly shaken by her ordeal.
Her attacker was in his late 20s, Asian, with short cropped hair and a 'baby' face. He was wearing a thin, blue, V-necked jumper.
Police have only just released details of the attack that happened between 1.30am and 1.45am last Thursday.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or may know who the man is to Shirley police station on 0845 045 4545.
