COMPUTER bosses at Southampton City Council are aiming to spend nearly £300,000 over the next two years to upgrade the authority's IT systems.
Spending of £145,000 this year and £145,000 in 2006/7 on renewing and consolidating servers on the city's computer network will be discussed by members of the City Council's ruling Liberal Democrat Cabinet on Monday.
The planned upgrades should make the system less liable to "crash" and improve council computer efficiency.
