COMMUTERS faced chaos on Friday morning after two separate crashes on the A339 closed a busy section of the road.
Drivers were left stranded in traffic jams when a two-car collision on the A339 near Stantons Farm, near Headley, happened at about 7.30am.
One car was in the middle of the road and the other was found in a ditch. Nobody was hurt.
As a result, the A339 between Headley and Kingsclere was closed for 30 minutes so police could get the cars involved off the road.
In a separate incident at about 6.30am, a Ferrari hit a telegraph pole while overtaking another vehicle outside The Star pub. The pole was badly damaged and the top section was broken.
Staff from the Highways Agency were called out to make the telegraph pole safe. The Ferrari driver was not injured.
