POTTY! Happy Faces children are growing Penny Potato at home in pots and buckets.
When the potatoes are ready to harvest they will be returned to Happy Faces, where they will be counted and weighed.
Funds raised will be used to buy shrubs and seeds which will be planted by the children in the Liddell Hall garden.
PARISH council. The clerk said: "The annual parish meeting agenda and annual report were agreed. The annual parish meeting is to be held in the village hall on Friday, May 20, at 8pm.
"The first draft of the annual accounts was received and will be audited within the next few weeks. The annual play area survey safety inspection report was received. The parish council has agreed to purchase a piece of land within the village for £5,000, subject to survey."
The next meeting is on Wednesday, May 11, and is the parish council's AGM.
FETE: We are still awaiting news of whether St John Ambulance will attend.
Tickets for the raffle will be sold in advance and a licence is being sought. Prizes are needed for the raffle.
Sherfield School has made a generous donation via its advertising in the fete programme.
Arena display timings have been agreed.
The next meeting to discuss the fete is on Tuesday, May 10, at 7.30pm, in the garden room.
