A WOMAN was taken to hospital suffering from hypothermia after spending three hours trapped at an Isle of Wight beauty spot.
Police with tracker dogs and the Solent Coastguard rescue helicopter were scrambled to find the missing woman after she fell and injured her back on Tennyson Down in West Wight at about 3.15am on Bank Holiday Monday.
The distraught woman kept in touch with emergency services for three hours while police and coastguards attempted to find her.
The woman was taken to The Albion Hotel at the foot of Tennyson Down before being taken to St Mary's Hospital in Newport by ambulance.
