QUEEN of pop Rachel Stevens and former Spice Girl Mel C are the latest acts to be confirmed at this summer's Power in the Park music festival at Southampton Common on June 5.
Portsmouth boy band Noises Next Door and singer-songwriter Ben Adam will also perform at the south's biggest outdoor concert, which is expected to attract 30,000 music fans.
Regularly voted one of the most attractive women in the world, former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens is the golden girl of British pop. Her debut single, Sweet Dreams My LA Ex, raced to the number spot and she's had two more top ten hits since.
Mel C has been the most successful Spice Girl since the band split way back in 2000, scoring countless top ten hits and a multi-platinum debut album as well.
The Liverpudlian released her third album this year, through her own record label, and recently splashed out on a multi-million-pound mansion in the Wye Valley in South Wales.
Tickets for this year's Power in the Park, supported by O2, are £10 and selling fast.
A donation of £1 from each sale will go to the station's Help a Local Child charity. Organisers hope to raise at least £30,000 from this year's event for the cause, with any money left over after costs from the show being ploughed back into the charity.
