The heroes agreed it would take a super effort from fans to get behind the team.

In aid of the battle for survival, staff at Just For Fun costume and fancy-dress shops in Queensway, Southampton, and Hedge End Retail Park in Tollbar Way are providing supporters with everything they need to show their own team spirit.

Peter Richards, a manager of Just For Fun, said: "We have giant red wigs, face paints, and red and white balloons for Saints fans. Everybody needs to come together and get behind them," he added.

The shop also sells flags, hats, and red and white hair spray so fans can really show their true colours and join the battle to save the Saints from relegation.
