THERE'S plenty to kick-start children's imaginations this spring at the Salisbury Playhouse. The fun begins on Friday with Quicksilver's touching production of Teddy In His Rucksack.
Accidentally separated from his father in the forest, Ivanko has to look after himself with only his teddy for company. Scared and alone he ventures deeper into the dark woods, until a soft red glow draws him into a cave.
He settles into a cosy spot, but this warm place turns out to be a bear! Luckily this teddy knows a lot about bears.
Inspired by Russian fairy tales, this vibrant new play inspires resourcefulness and self-esteem in children.
On Saturday Imagination Productions present The Lost Puppy.
Join Toffee the loveable puppy as he sets off on a big adventure to buy a new bone. It's the first time he's been out alone, and he can't find his way home! A super story with a serious message about road safety, getting lost and the importance of not talking to strangers. Help Toffee solve the mystery and bring him home!
On May 20 and 21, Stuff and Nonsense present Dusty - The Vacuum Cleaner Boy.
The penniless old man and the cash strapped old man are about to tuck into the contents of the cleaner bag when out jumps a boy made of dust and dirt and other nasty stuff.
Luckily for them Dusty has a very useful skill which could be the answer to all their problems! Inspired by fairy tales such as The Gingerbread Man, Pinocchio and Tom Thumb, it features puppets, physical comedy, circus skills and live music.
