MARQUIS, the UK's largest motor-home dealer network, will be holding an open weekend at its Hampshire branch this weekend.

The specialist is located in Winchester Road at Lower Upham, between Bishop's Waltham and Marwell Zoo.

The two-day festivities will run from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday, with some special discounts of up to £3,000 on selected new and used motorhomes.

There will also be test drives and financial and technical advice on site from manufacturers' representatives and business managers, as well as free refreshments all weekend.

All the information concerning the open weekends can be found on the Marquis website at www.marquis motorhomes.co.uk.

The event will also provide an opportunity for enthusiasts to meet new branch manager Alan Buckwell.

Alan started his career in the motor trade in 1990. He quickly rose through the ranks and was soon running a large car dealership in Salisbury.

Alan joined Marquis Motorhomes in 2001 as a business manager and later rose to the position of group business manager, where his role was to look after all the finance and insurance business for Marquis's network of nine branches nationwide.

He was appointed branch manager of Marquis Hampshire at Lower Upham last month and has overall responsibility for all aspects of running this busy dealership.

Alan said: "I am very excited about heading Marquis Hampshire and although I am very familiar with the Marquis brand already, running a dealership will be a new and very exciting task, with many challenges ahead!

"In particular I am looking forward to meeting our local customers and showing them what a fantastic service we can offer at the branch."

Alan is married with two children and is a keen Saints supporter.
