DEVELOPMENT for a new 500bhp version of the Range Rover Sport by a south of England specialist is well advanced.
The most sporting of Land Rover's models has been treated to an entirely new look courtesy of Overfinch at Farnham.
Aerodynamic bodystyling has significantly changed the appearance of the vehicle to give even more sporting intent.
A new exhaust with twin oval tailpipes underlines the massive power potential with 110bhp extra.
Overfinch's popular Tiger 22in wheels now completely fill the wheel arches. These design sketches are the first pictures of what the new model will look like.
The predicted performance is a top speed of 156 mph with 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds.
Overfinch will start deliveries in the autumn.
As with all Overfinch products, the engine, wheels, exhaust and aerostyling will all be available separately.
Orders are now being taken for what Overfinch describes as a "unique and real sporting alternative to a Porsche Cayenne Turbo".
Marketing director Neil Underwood said the company, now celebrating its 30th anniversary, was to Range Rover what AMG is to Mercedes.
