Newport IoW, free from the jaws of relegation, signed off the season with a 3-3 draw at Molesey.
After 24 minutes the Islanders were two up, courtesy of Chris Bridges and a penalty by 16-year-old Michael McEnery, but Russell Pym (penalty) and Mark Longley brought the Surrey side level.
Newport hit back with the goal of the match - a sweet 35-yard volley from Ashley Wright - but the Moles' ex-Fleet man John Murphy headed home the 85th-minute equaliser.
John Linington, taking his last league game in charge before handing over to Steve Leigh, said: "It's been a long, hard season, but we've done really well."
Linington takes his farewell game in charge tomorrow night when holders Port face Brading in the Isle of Wight Gold Cup final (Cowes Sports FC, 7.30pm).
