RED Hot Rhythm & Blues, with The Manfreds, plus special guest Paul Young, will be at The Anvil on Thursday, May 5, from 7.45pm.
Paul Jones, Mike d'Abo, Tom McGuinness and the band present the hits of The Manfreds, including Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Mighty Quinn, Pretty Flamingo, 5-4-3-2-1 and more.
The Manfreds stopped playing in 1969 but, following a reunion in 1991, everything fell back into place, with a dynamic freshness enhancing their chart successes.
Their live show is bursting with a quirky mix of solid gold pop, jazz and rhythm and blues.
Soulful '80s chart-topper Young's hits include Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home), Every Time You Go Away and Love Of The Common People.
Tickets, priced £16.50, are available from the box office on 01256 844244, the website www.theanvil.org.uk or the ticket fax on 01256 366900.
