FEW singer-songwriters possess the hauntingly beautiful voice that Welsh songstress Amy Wadge does.
Hailed the new Jodi Mitchel, Amy plays a one-off gig at The Anvil in Basingstoke tonight in support of her new album, WOJ.
Born in the village of Backwell, just outside Bristol, Amy got her first Radio 1 airplay at the age of just 14 as half of the girl-group Two of a Mind.
Aged 16, Amy decided to go solo, performing as a singer-songwriter and went on to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff, before settling permanently in Wales - the country she now calls home.
In 2002 Amy released her mini album, The Famous Hour on Welsh label FF Vinyl. It drew a huge response and led to her playing live at the BBC 6Music launch party alongside Lenny Kravitz and Embrace.
Since then Amy's career has continued to soar with numerous gongs at the Welsh Music Awards and a support slot at The Royal Albert Hall with the legendary Jeff Beck.
Tickets £10. Box office: 01256 844244.
