LUCINDA Green was at a Test Valley equestrian centre recently to teach potential champions of the future.
One of the world's greatest-ever Three Day Event riders was holding a cross country clinic at the Hoplands Equestrian Centre, Kings Somborne.
The clinic ran over two days with the former Olympic team silver medallist, World and European champion and six times Badminton winner putting riders through their paces from introductory to advanced level.
The venue boasts a wonderful training facility with more than 60 fixed obstacles set at heights varying from as small as 2 feet to 3ft 6ins.
The water complex is one of the best in Europe with drops in, jumps in, slopes in and just about every other conceivable way of getting in or out of water.
There are also indoor and outdoor arenas for show jumping and dressage training.
Said Lucinda (formerly Prior-Palmer): "It's great to be able to put something back into a sport I enjoyed for so many years.
"I've been teaching for a number of years now and I'm hoping to produce some future champions.
"There are still a lot of talented three day eventers in this country."
