HARRY REDKNAPP has dismissed reports that he is poised to quit St Mary's next month.
Redknapp has confirmed he WILL stay on as boss if Saints survive - although he hasn't said what happens IF Saints get relegated.
It has been reported that Redknapp's reign as manager will finish at the end of the season - regardless of whether Saints beat the drop or not.
But the 58-year-old, who is chairman Rupert Lowe's eighth manager in eight years, says that speculation regarding his future is wide of the mark.
"I don't know where these stories are coming from," Redknapp said. "I have made no decision at all about my future. The only thing I am concerned about is trying to get us out of trouble.
"I will wait until the end of the season before thinking about what to do. The only thing that matters right now is trying to ensure we beat Norwich on Saturday.
"As for quitting, I have just not even thought about it. My contract runs until the end of next season.
"If we stay up, I will be here next year. If we go down then there is still a big job to be done but we have a terrific youth system and some great kids."
Redknapp was given an 18-month deal when he succeeded Steve Wigley last December, but it was madeclear that keeping Saints in the Premiership was his priority.
Saints are currently bottom of the table with just three matches remaining, but Redknapp, who has never had a team relegated from the Premiership, remains hopeful of masterminding a late surge.
"I think there will be a lot more twists and turns yet," he predicted.
"I have definitely not thrown in the towel. It might be that we have to win our remaining three games to stay up. But that is not impossible."
If Redknapp did leave at the end of the season, Saints would remarkably be looking for their fifth manager in less than 18 months after the departures of Gordon Strachan, Paul Sturrock and Wigley.
Although it is expected that Sir Clive Woodward will take on a role with the academy and on the board after the British Lions' tour to New Zealand this summer, it is understood he will not initially be considered in a frontline role with the first-team.
