THESE animal lovers have been raising funds for the St Francis Animal Welfare Shelter at Fair Oak.
They are all students on a dog grooming course at a Chichester College and they made a special trip along the south coast to present a cheque for just over £405.
The cash was raised through raffles and line dancing.
The students heard about the shelter's need for more financial support from Amanda Couzens who is an animal rescue assistant and was on the dog grooming course.
The shelter, which has been a safe haven for thousands of homeless animals, has just marked its 50th anniversary. Anyone who has fundraising ideas should ring the shelter on 023 8069 3282.
