Mimirichi - Paperworld at the Lighthouse, Poole.
When they say paperworld they really mean it. Four clowns, one of them a paper monster with huge mole-like claws, use paper and nothing but paper to entertain and delight.
The backdrop is a floor to ceiling wall of paper that ends up littering the stage and the auditorium.
As with all the best clowns, these four manage - with no words, few vocal sounds and plenty of sound effects - to create recognisable characters. They also create mayhem reminiscent of 'Where the Wild Things Are'.
By the end of the first half the backdrop is in tatters, the whole audience has had the chance to indulge in a harmless frenzied paper fight and we are just about to see a penalty shot attempted with a huge paper football on a goal mouth made of paper supported by a couple of audience members.
After the interval the clowns reveal that they are expert acrobats as well as splendidly anarchic comics.
A captivating finale involves the whole audience and there is a rumpus of applause for these utterly unique Ukranians.
