SOUTHAMPTON-BASED venture Open Square has successfully secured funding for the next stage of its development, under the guidance of SETsquared - the acceleration programme for early stage technology companies - at Southampton University.
Open Square, which produces software solutions for financial institutions, has secured funds of £117,000.
Of that, £65,000 was secured following a presentation given at Solent Investment Opportunity Network, a south coast business angel network based at the Portsmouth Technopole. The remainder came from private investors.
David Bream, director of SETsquared Southampton, said: "Financial support is the lifeblood of any company, whether raising finance through government schemes, business angels or the venture capital community. SETsquared's experience and strong networks allow ventures to tap into all of these sources."
