Fareham have been given permission to build a new clubhouse and changing facilities at Henry Cort Community College, where they play their South Premier Hockey League Division 2 matches.
The new facility, which will overlook the existing all-weather floodlit pitch, will consist of a two-storey building with changing rooms at ground floor level and a social area at first floor level.
"The project is a partnership between Henry Cort College and the hockey club and will enable the game to develop for the future benefit of the community," said Fareham spokesman Richard Cornish.
"The first floor will offer good elevated views of the hockey matches and the wonderful country and valley edge setting."
Fareham currently share a clubhouse with Fareham & Crofton Cricket Club at Bath Lane, over two miles away from their hockey headquarters.
The hockey club is making encouraging progress towards raising the £350,000 required to build the new clubhouse.
