THE 22nd Alton 10-mile Road Race on Sunday, May 8 is on course for a record entry.
Supported by Charters of Alton, the event will get under way from Lord Mayor Trelor School in Holybourne at 10.30am, taking hundreds of runners around Binstead, Bentley and Froyle before heading back to Holybourne.
This year the Alton 10, organised by Alton Joggers and Alton Lions, is a BARR Grade One race and part of the Hampshire Road Race League.
Trophies will be awarded to the first man, woman, veteran man and veteran woman to finish as well as the four-strong winning men's team and the three-strong winning women's team. All finishers will receive a medal.
Entries are £9 on the day for UKA affiliated runners or £11 for unattached runners.
