WINCHESTER planners look set to approve controversial plans for a mini-housing estate on land in Kings Worthy.
Winterslow Development has applied to build six homes at Meadowland, sparking some 20 objections from local people.
The parish council objects, saying the development is inappropriate. Most of the other objections say the density is too high, will lead to over-looking of people's homes and cause parking congestion.
Last month the Daily Echo revealed that another developer was offering seven-figure sums for properties in nearby Springvale Road, Mount Pleasant and Mortimer Close.
City councillors on the planning committee are being urged by their own officers to approve the plans.
