TWO Hampshire companies have been at the forefront of one of the biggest land acquisitions in Dorset for years.
Commercial property developer Rokeagle has bought a ten-acre commercial development site at Yarrow Road in Poole for about £5m.
The site occupies a prominent position close to entertainment centre Tower Park and nearby occupiers include Ford and Volkswagen motor dealerships, Sunseeker International and a Tesco Superstore.
Rokeagle's intention is to carry out an element of speculative development on the site likely to comprise a small office courtyard and possibly a trade counter scheme, and the site could accommodate up to 200,000 square feet of design and build opportunities.
Young & Butt, based in Segensworth, near Fareham, acted on behalf of Rokeagle's Southampton team.
Well-known property developer Tim Titheridge, of Rokeagle, said: "We are extremely pleased to have concluded the purchase of this exciting development site."
Jerry Vigus, associate director of Young and Butt, who advised Rokeagle on the transaction, said: "We were made aware that the land was available off market and that there was a limited time to perform.
"We knew of only one developer locally who could react quickly enough to secure the site and this was Rokeagle."
The site is marketed through Young & Butt and Goadsby & Harding.
Tim Titheridge will be rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous this Thursday in a unique event in Southampton. Find out what's going on in Friday's Daily Echo.
