SAINTS face an anxious wait to see whether top scorer Peter Crouch will be fit to play against Norwich on Saturday.
The 14-goal hitman was forced to watch Saints' defeat at Fratton Park from the sidelines yesterday after dropping out of the warm-up with a hamstring strain.
It brought back memories of last year at Fratton Park, where Michael Svensson got injured in the warm-up, but this time Saints desperately need Crouch back for the run-in.
Harry Redknapp was forced into a last-minute change and brought in Henri Camara to partner Kevin Phillips in attack but will doubtless want Crouch back for the vital last three games of the season.
Saints coach Kevin Bond said: "We were slightly aware of the problem before the game but we were thinking he was OK and he said he was OK.
"But, come the warm-up, he realised he wasn't going to be able to play, so we had to make the decision to change - but we don't use that as an excuse.
"I don't know how bad it is right now."
